Hi everybody,

I have bought a SER 7 with 1TB nvme inside. (Crucial P3)

I have purchased two Crucial P5s with 2TB capacity for thesecond slot that the device has.

After installing the new disks I use CrystalDiskMark 8 to check performance, and theresults are good at first, 5GB writing speed.

After a few days or a week, both disks no longer haveadequate performance, with writing speeds that do not exceed 300MBs.

I have Windows 11 Pro that came standard.

With the internal disk of the same brand but model P3 it hasnot happened.

Any Idea,

Thanks in advance,

OK, but  Gen 3.0 is not cheaper than Gen 4.0, they are slower and low TBW compare to 4.0...

Everything is worse with the same price...

Beelink should solve this because it is a feature that they are selling...

Thanks

either update the nvme firmware using crucial software, or your crucial nvme drives are somehow defective.  try using Them in another machine or an external enclosure to test speed

Thanks,

but two brand new P5 Crucial? with the same issues? The nvme drivers are updated

I checked one of them from BIOS and it recovered performance, but after a couple of hours the speeds dropped dramaticaly...

Very strange though

I have same issue. Check a lot of WHEA-Logger #17 errors in Event Viewer.
The nvme extension cable isnt compatible with Gen4 link speed, I guess.
Try Gen3 SSD if you have.

Thanks...so PC is PCI 4.0 but the nvme extension cable isnt compatible with Gen 4? How could it be?

What could be the solution?

Have you tried a nvme Gen 3 on the second slot?

Beelink is showing off with the PCI 4.0 support in both slots but is not working.

I have sent an email to Support for other question two weeks ago, still waiting for an answer...Do they usually reply?

Thanks

Its like the unstability of Gen4 PCIe Riser Cable for GPU.

I tried many Gen4 SSDs on the 2nd slot and they are all unstable.
But Gen3 SSDs are stable. I tried 2 or 3 types.

Beelink support replied quick many times for me.

Thanks.

IME, 2 to 3 business days in CN to receive an email reply from Beelink support.

For SSDs, I had no problem with WD SN850X or Sabrent Rocket Plus 2TB NVME in the "top" M.2 slot.

And apart of using GEN 3.0 ssds, is there any solution for the GEN 4.0?

Thanks

Those two models are PCI 4.0, and no problem at all?
