Hi, I have recently purchased SER6 Pro and a Samsung 990 Pro 2TB, I tried to clone the internal drive to yhe new drive but the process failed many time and I also tried to clone a different nvme ssd S850X 2TB and the same thing happened, if I have to guess I would say thd problem lies within the internal ssd, it cannot be cloned no matter what, if you have a solution I would appreciate your help, thank you!

Hello there,
Thanks for your letter , you mean clone the data from the old ssd to a new nvme m.2 ssd or to a hdd you added? May I have a picture of the error? Look forward to your reply, have a nice day!

I can clone without sector by sector method but i won't be able to use many apps, i tried to open one of them and got an error message, I am baffled at this point and don't know what to do, I downloaded the windows version for my machine from one of these threads that also can't boot :(, this is the image I got after cloning without sector by sector being selected.

Just curious. I am going to do the same but your experience should be good value. Can you tell what cloning software you had used? Did you try Samsung Data Migration which provide only for Samsung SSD?

It was a huge mistake to use Samsung Migration app and I had to open the PC many times and do some tests which was a huge wate of time, the safest and guaranteed method for upgrading the internal nvme ssd is a clean and fresh install from the get go, as a final note never ever waste your money on a cloning or backup app, remember always start fresh, I came from the world of macOS so I know a little about windows but hardware is impressive

@9tilesfox welcome to Windows that you can build desktop to what you want and not spend a fotune for Apple.

@tzsol. I used Macrium a while back when it was free for upgrade my laptop from Harddrive to Serial SSD. It's still working fine for Windows 10 and I don't think a need for Windows 11 on this laptop. I kept the old drive as is, in case new serial SSD going bad.
Now I have purchased Ser 6 Pro 7735HS that came with 500G NVMe I had installed all legacy programs I owned ( some even from WinXP time) on it to make sure it works. Now. I like to upgrade to 2TB and keeping the 500G as back up but Macrium is not clone free anymore. Too bad to pay 40bucks for only upgrade need.
