Fresh Install of Windows 11 using Rufus Bootable Drive

Hello all,


I just received my SER5 5800H and when I first turned it on, Windows asked me to create an account using a work/school account, which I do not have. I tried many things to bypass and spent hours doing so, but could not get past this. Not even sure why the unit would be shipped with an Enterprise version to begin with.

So, I want to use Rufus to reinstall a fresh version of Windows Pro and wanted to know if there is any thing I need to know in advance?

I currently created a Bootable NTFS drive using GPT Partition Scheme and Target System UEFI on a 64gb stick. Is this the correct way to install? I'm a primary Mac user, so please forgive me if these are basic questions. My first BeeLink PC as well.

Windows 11 requires internet and Microsoft account. At least latest versions. Also why would you use Rufus, if Microsoft has own tool to make bootable USB drives? You can create the account when you start the PC, is not required to reinstall, all versions including home will require Microsoft account.

Rufus is a great tool.  Follow instructions easy to use.

Windows DOES NOT require a MS account or internet to install and use Windows 11 although they do
try to make it seem that you do.

1. Start install without your ethernet cable connected.
During install it will then offer you an option to "skip" setting up network and do later.
Finish installing and then set up your network.

2. Then open a cmd prompt window (shift - F10) and enter the following command...
\oobe\bypassnro
This will then bypass any reminders to sign in/set up a MS account

If you don't have it already you will need to get your windows key code from support if
you are installing from a fresh copy of win 11

Nice tutorial piken, even I didn't know about it :). But I already have a MS acc, this is good when installing Win 11 for others.
