Just got my new SER5 pro 5800H  today and I cant get it to display using HDMI.

There is no beelink start splash screen, it goes straight to windows and it will only display in 640x480 with no options to change resolution.....UNLESS I put a VGA adapter on the HDMI cable and use an old VGA monitor. In this configuration I get the beelink start screen/enter bios and I have options to change resolution in windows.

I have reset CMOS and restarted many, many, many times.
I need the HDMI to work directly with my larger monitor.
What are my options here?

Splash screen not showing, could be a problem with your monitor or TV, if you use a TV. It cannot handle the boot/bios resolution. This monitor/TV worked with another PC fine before? Being able to use and change resolutions with another monitor only proves the video output is fine.

The larger monitor I wish to use with the SER5 worked fine with another computer before. It also worked at 1360x768 the first time I booted the SER5 (splash screen visible), but during the windows setup routine it suddenly changed to 640x480 and cant  be changed in windows.
I've tried three different working cables, three different HDMI ports on the monitor, and the only thing that gives me another resolution is putting a VGA adapter on the HDMI cable and using an old VGA monitor.

OK, new development:

If I turn on the monitor first, set it to HDMI port 1, and then turn on the SER5, it boots normally with splash screen and loads windows at the proper 1360 resolution.
However, if I turn off the monitor (leaving SER5 on), and then back on, it comes back on at 640x480.
Same happens if I let it go to sleep.
Same happens if I switch to HDMI port 2 and then back to 1.
Same happens if I shut down SER5 and reboot, or restart.

Basically the monitor has to be unplugged, then turned on and set to the proper port before booting the SER5. And the monitor has to remain on without changing anything or letting it or the SER5 go to sleep.
For now I have turned off sleep mode, but I dont want to leave the monitor on 24-7 and Im not going to unplug the monitor and reboot every time I need to use it. I need to have sleep mode working.

This is a very weird error, I never seen it before. Try to reset bios on the pc, also if it has 2 HDMI ports, use the other. I think is not a driver error, since it doesn't show the booting screen either. Maybe Support will check and tell you what to do.

Ok new development:

If I turn on the monitor first, set it to HDMI 1, and then turn on the SER5, I get the bios splash screen and it boots into windows at the correct 1360 resolution.
However, I cannot let it go to sleep, turn off the monitor, switch to another HDMI port, or anything without it going back to 640x480.
Same happens if I shut down or restart the SER5.

I have to unplug the monitor, not just turn it off.
I have disabled sleep mode, but this is silly. Im not going to leave the monitor and computer on 24-7 or unplug/reboot every time I want to use it. I need to have sleep mode working.

Ok I have replied with updates twice in the past 24hrs and they are not being posted to this thread....it keeps saying my replies "need moderator approval"

I will try for a third time:

Update:

I can get the SER5 to display in the correct 1360x786 resolution if I UNPLUG the monitor, the Plug it back in, turn it on, wait for "HDMI 1" to appear on screen, and then power up the SER5.

If let the computer go to sleep, it will come back as 640x480, with no option to change resolution
Same will happen if I turn off the monitor and then turn it back on (SER5 powered on the whole time)
Same will happen if switch the monitor to "HDMI 2" and then back to "HDMI 1"

So basically I have to disable sleep mode and leave the monitor on all day, or else Unplug and reboot every time I walk away from my desk. This is silly.
This monitor and same HDMI port works fine with windows 10 and my old computer.

I have searched online and tried all the windows 11 display fixes
I have uninstalled/reinstalled/updated  the display driver
Windows wont let me rollback driver
I have installed AMD adrenalin to see if it gives me any more control of the graphics
None of these have worked

Any suggestions?
