Hello,
I had the same problem that a lot of people have which is that the PC crashes or reboots after a couple of minutes. I tried to removeone RAm stick and it stopped crashing, but the performance is so bad that I wanted to return the PC.

I had some other RAM that I tried and this RAM ran at 4800Mhz instead of 5600Mhz. This seems to fix the problem. However, just buting new RAM is unacceptable when everybody paid so much money. If there is a BIOS update that let us change the RAM speed in the BIOS from 5600Mhz to 5200Mhz, this could fix the problems we have without impacting performance too much, so that we don't have to return the PC.

I don't think the problem is RAM itself or BIOS. When I was running my GTR7 with basic vga driver I have not had a single reboot. I suspect it might be something to do with the Beta driver from AMD. As beelink support mentioned, there will be a WHQL driver at around 15th July. I myself will run it in basic driver for now

Thanks for this post, I was waiting for someone with this problem to try with different RAM modules, just to confirm the problem is with the RAM modules and not the unit or some driver update.

It is a shame that support does not release a BIOS that solve this problem or at least let us tweak with the memory frequency and latency to test, I'm also willing to sacrifice some speed if that brings stability to the system.

It went from crashing every 10 minutes to crashing once a day. Still bad but a step in the right direction? I mean, there are no reported stability issues with the UM790 from minisforum and at the moment I just wait for confirmation that with minisforum, I can change RAM speeds. If that is possible, I will return the Beeelink. I had high hopes for the beelink, but this is just embarrassing and unacceptable

Hello there,

For the problem of crash and random reboot, probably we need to wait the new-release driver from AMD.

Turning on the picture sharpening in the AMD graphics card control panel can effectively solve the problem of restarting. I used to watch primevideo and it would restart. After turning on this setting, I never restarted again.

I have 64GB consisting of two Kingston FURY Impact Black KF556S40IB-32 32GB DDR5 5600MT/s.
They are running at 5600MT/s and I have never had a random reboot.

Yeah it doesn't happen with every unit, but a lot of us have problems while others run completely fine

Hello there,

Thanks for your sharing.

Sounds plausible, AMD also had RAM issues with their Epyc server CPUs. It seems DDR5 support is tricky. This may also be why the launch of their new notebook CPUs (same as the one used by GTR7) had to be postponed. Any indication on when AMD might provide an update?
