over clock my 5900hx and it won't stay on.

So I went to the AMD proformance control panel and over clocked it and it wouldn't stay on. So I disabled it. Then put it in game optimization mode, that was fine but I tried to over clock it again and same result. Any thoughts on this?

If you want to overclock your CPU and iGPU you could use the AMD APU Tuning Utility V2.0.5.8. (AATU) You can download it from Github.  On YouTube you can find some video clips explaining how to use it.

Now be sure to run your GTR5 in performance mode  (45+watt TDP) if you overclock.
(go into BIOS - select tab Advanced - > NBIO->SMU  common options -> system configuration and select option 2: Performance (45+W)
