Weak Wifi in GK55

The Wifi is weak in GK55. I got no reception if I'm not in the room where the internet box is. Is it normal? Otherwise is there a way to improve the wifi in this pc?

Pls make sure the dictance between the machine and the router less than 6 meters.

But I'm a bit surprised by what you said. 6 meters is not much. Might as well use an internet cord.
In reality my computer is less than 6 meters but is on a floor above, so in a room separated by the ceiling. Is it normal not to have any signal in this case?
