Hello!

I am relatively new to the Beelink GT Pro King.  I own two of them.  I have been trying various ways on installing different OSes on them and I am a bit confused as to the ARM chip ecosystem.

I know there appears to be a number of images that are put together by members of the forum and additionally there are images that are compiled as part of the Armbian project.

What I am curious about are how the various images are setup and put together and is one any better than another to use?  Or are they all using the same DTB files, etc and its just a choice of OS?

Any help would be greatly appreciated?  I am just trying to learn about the differences in the various options.  How would I put a custom image myself together should I choose to?  Also I see that a number of the differences revolves around what the latest linux kernal supports and I am wondering with Kernel 6.0 coming out soon will this box be supported and I can install Linux in a normal way?

Thanks in advance!

Sorry, at the moment, we do not have the manual on installing different OSes on the TV BOX.

@marshalltech81,

You can download the amazing Manjaro-Arm-Gnome/KDE: https://github.com/manjaro-arm/gtking-pro-images/releases.  Manjaro run smoothly and very responsive.  Fedora 36 Workstation or Fedora 36 KDE works well on GT King Pro using u-root-bootdisk/petit-bootdisk to boot: https://forum.bee-link.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=72255&extra=page%3D1 .

At https://gitlab.com/tripole-inc/bootdisk there are guides for you how to install Ubunut images and Armbian images to run on GT King Pro.
