GT King box uploading and downloading while idle

My Gt king box is uploading and downloading close to 60gb in a week while idle and the culprit seems to be this process. anyone know what it does and why ? process as indicated in attached pictures is ''root (uid 0)''

A couple things come to mind ...  Have you installed / sideloaded any possibly roque apps that could be "calling home " or using your box in milicious ways?

Next, do you have your box configured to be accessing any other device on your network such as a laptop, PC, etc ?  They could be constantly exchanging data.

Lastly, could be one of googles latest updates where they are " watching" you constantly :(

Aside from these, try to do a complete scan for viruses, trojans etc using a well known software.
Hope these suggestions might help out.

thing is i had trouble with the box and had to install the official newest firmware recently so i didn't install anything apart from emby and utorrent. but will try a scan.

Update. i did a factory reset to see if it was any app doing this but had no kuck so i tried going back to the old firmware 914 and seems to stop doing it. i think firmware 917 has this issue.

Ok .. glad it has stopped. One other thing comes to my mind...
I have never used emby, but could IT have been trying to communicate with other systems on your network?

That crossed my mind yes but when i did a factory reset i did not install emby and it was still doing it so my guess is it was something wrong with the firmware/android
