Headphone Head set port issues

Hi,

Love my GTR, but no to happy with the microphones set up as there is serious disturbance due to them built in the system.
When I connect a head set via cable, the built in microphones stay active.
Anybody with similar issues here? Is there a way to switch off these microphones completely?

In device manager go to audio inputs and outputs and view hidden devices.  You will then see all your hardware in detail and you can disable the realtek microphone which is built into the computer and then you can also see if the hardware you want is displayed in device manager.
