The gt king has 2x settings menus...traditional Android, and a sidebar menu called "Droid settings" where you can preform other actions like screen zoom, resolution, etc.

How do I access this sidebar "Droid settings" menu from any launcher that isn't stock?

Hi, I think that I found a solution to both "problems". I used Activity Launcher suggested by @dutch in conjunction with another app called Tasker. Do you know it? It's a powerful and fantastic "toolbox"!!!!
For Droid/General Settings
  • Using Activity Laucher I saw that "General Settings" opened by LightHome launcher corresponds to "com.android.tv.settings/.MainSettings"
  • Using Activity Launcher with my current launcher (I use "Simple TV Launcher" instead of LightHome) isn't possible to create a shortcut to this function but....
  • Using Tasker I created a task that runs this shortcut and I exported it as a simple app with its icon

Power Menu
  • Using the same steps described above but with this shortcut "com.netxeon.lignthome/.DialogActivity" it's possible to open a power menu (shutdown, sleep, reboot) that I had never seen
  • You can use this app instead of "Power Menu" that I suggested in another post....

Sorry, I don’t understand what you mean very much. Do you mean you want to enter the sidebar "Droid settings" menu in another way?

But this interface is only available on the desktop, and its setting purpose is to simplify the setting operation

The only way to enter the settings on the sidebar is from the stock launcher settings icon. There's no icon for these settings in the app window.

Here you see the icon for sidebar settings

There is no app icon in the application window, so any other launcher cannot access these sidebar settings.

Alvatech rom includes TV Settings app and Power Menu app for sidebar settings and for restarting the unit.

Will this be fixed? Can you add an icon in the application window so that users can access those settings easily?

I need to ask the technicians, please wait for my reply, can you explain why you need this change? Because normally, the current access method is more convenient and faster

Hi TraxtarXKR, I have your same "problem" because I wanto to use Simple TV Launcher instead of LightHome. For the Power Menu I found this app Power Menu. It works! I am trying to use Tasker to "open" other settings like "File server" but without success.

We need it because the stock launcher lighthome is terrible... And without the app icon there's no way to access these settings from the launcher we decide to pick. We can hide the icon if we don't like it. There's literally no reason for this icon to be missing from the app window.
