Just finished upgrade from version 910P0 to 913P0 which was mostly a PITA because it did NOT save my data even though the upgrade script was set to do so... ( more on that in a later post )  BOX is SN B922x

Problem now is that even if i completely disable all the CEC settings on both the GTKing and my tv, and select power key definition for shut down it always restarts.  Also tried a terminal  su session using ' reboot - p ' but same result.
Found a 'new' app in this image called autoreboot v1.0 which i backed up and uninstalled but that did not help either.
Lastly tried to shutdown without any network connection and unplugged the hdmi cable ... well of course it still reboots.

I will have to start going through all the various config and build files looking for the possible reason and will update post IF i find the cause.

IF anybody knows a fix / workaround for this please let me know....   otherwise   @ DEVS -- im thinking you messed this one up ??

EDIT #1:  Even worse than i thought...  if i reboot into recovery and then select shutdown it restarts as well ... GRRRR
Beginning to suspect it has to do with modified power menu for supporting dual os ..

EDIT #2:  Booting into 'SAFE MODE' and then trying to shutdown also restarts ...

EDIT #3:  Have backed up and removed both autoreboot AND the file server ...  still wont shut down.
After wife finishes watching her shows at noon i will TOTALLY wipe it and see if that helps ...

EDIT #4:  Totally wiping box did not help. Re-aaplying the firmware update did not help.
Tried going back to ANY earlier version only to find that 'google' added a setting in android 9.x  so that it will
check to see if you are trying to go back to an older version and those attempts are blocked.
So, im stuck at 913 for now ...  not that impressed anymore.

you might want to revert back to 910..913 wasn't made for the B922 it was made for C92X and SA9X and SB9X units

To update a B922 higher than 910, it would have to been forced, not an OTA. Better to check the target before you shoot, you may shoot yourself in the foot.

Yeah .. or at least down to 911 or 912 ... unfortunately i dont have a 'pc' cabable of trying to do that by the brush method, and as i mentioned earlier... it appears that downgrading from USB / Flash has a no-downgrade protection check in it.   That being said, 913 works much better except for this power off thing.

Also today out of curiosity i downloaded and set-up CoreElec and it ALSO does the same thing.. when selecting to totally power off, it shuts down and then restarts as well.

To me that raises another question...  could it be possible this is actually "poor co-incidence" that something happened in the HARDWARE that prevents it from an actual full power off ??

Does anybody know if the 'bootloader' has anything to do with power off command(s) .. i wouldn't think so but maybe ??

If you need to go back to 912 or 911, you must use a USB cable.

Can you provide us with a video of your question after switching the system language to English? We need to solve the problem based on your video

How did you update the firmware? Whether to use OTA or USB or SD card

Please send a screenshot of the version information, tvsetting-->device preference-->About, take a screenshot after entering, please provide a complete screenshot of the entire version interface, you can take a few separately

Ok,  i did the upgrade using a usb flash drive.
I am attatching photos as requested, and diagnostics from aida64 as well.
I will put up a video as soon as i can.

Meanwhile, i got "around" it by rebooting to recovery first instead of trying to shutdown,  and then i have the power supply on a voice controlled switch so i can power off without constantly straining the cable and power jack on the box.

Not perfectly ideal situation , but at least safe for the hardware.
