Reinstall Windows 10 Pro

Very pleased with my Beelink U55 Intel Core i3-5005U / 8GB DDR3 / 256GB SSD / Windows 10 Pro Mini Pc.
How can I re-install a fresh Win 10 Pro when that dreaded day comes, so I am back to factory conditions?
I know the key/registration is in the firmware.

I am guessing that as I have recieved no replys the only way to reinstall Windows 10 Pro is to buy a another copy!!!
Seems odd to me that you cannot download and use the license that is held in firmware, but how do you find that license?
I have looked for an instruction manual just to find out how to get to bios. But nothing exists. The supplied User Manual is totally usless.

Hi HughP!

   Yes Windows License key is stored into the Windows registry which is of course in the firmware. However starting with Windows 10, once the hardware was activated online you shouldn't worry yourself about loosing the Windows 10 license key.

You can do a ' Reset this PC ' via Windows 10 Settings \ Update & Security \ Recovery screen, which lets you choose to keep your files or remove them, and then reinstalls Windows. Which is the preferred way, which I'll explain further.


On the bottom you have a hyperlink under ' More recovery options ', says ' Learn how to start afresh with a clean installation of Windows '. I never explored this feature, so choose this with caution because It removes OEM software, likely that which comes with drivers installations. Also uncertain if the drivers Beelinks uses for various components will remain, and they aren't natively included with Windows 10 installation. :P

Thank you very much for that it helps, :) but what I need to install from scratch in the event of SSD failure? Or I can not access windows at all.  There is a small hole to the left of the USB3 sockets, is that a reset button?

If SSD failure, you need to reinstall Windows through USB method.

I have not been able to get any of these images to work. I can boot to my USB flash drive, it errors out looking for a *.win file. I will follow up with the exact error in another post.
Any incite would be appreciated.
BTW this little device has run exceptionally since purchase. It was Microsoft that screwed up my install.
Additionally i have attempted to reset this device from within windows countless times without success.
