I purchased an N41 a couple of days back and I opend it to change the M.2 SSD so that I can install ubuntu in a new SSD and keep the original SSD with windows 10 to use if I later need it.I took the mother boad out and even removed the heat-sink but there is no removable M.2 SSD. I think the SSD is fixed to the board.
Then I tried to install ubuntu in an SDXC disk inserted to the card slot. installing went on smoothly but this device cant boot from the card slot.
I inserted the card to a USB card reader and booted from USB then I could boot to ubuntu.
I am posting this information for others to know few point about this device (Beelink N41)
  • It has no removable SSD (As seen in the advertisement below) so you can't upgrade storage or have a separate ssd for separate OS.
  • Even though it has SDXC card slot it can't boot from bootable card in that slot
  • If you want to use linux in this device, either you have to wipe Windows 10 in internal SSD or use a USB storege.

N41 is actually a good and reliable mini PC. It boots to windows 10 in 12 seconds. very very fast compared to all the PCs I currently using (the best beign a Core i3 Gen.5).

Thank you.

I apologize for the mistake I've made.
I again dissemble the unit to have another look. I found that even though there is no removable SSD in N41 there is an empty M.2 SATA slot for a second SSD. This finding made Beelink N41 a more valuable product to me.

I recomend this mini PC to any one who is looking for a relatively cheap, more powerfull,  yet less power consuming PC.

I have attached images that I captured in side the unit.

i'm going to purchase NVME m.2 SSD.
Can I know whether NVME is supported or only SATA III ?
In UEFI setting I noticed an option called NVME configuration. So I hope it is supported.

Although there is an Nvme option on the BIOS, it is not supported on the hardware. The N41 only supports the M.2 2242 SATA III.
