Hi,
did anybody experience issues on recognising a working USB bootable pendrive on S2 N5000? I am trying to boot from my USB pendrive, and no USB port is able to detect it during boot: any suggestion?
I've tested this pendrive on several PCs, and every PC boots...
Thanks!
I am also having this problem. The USB drive is recognized in Windows and is shown in the F7 boot menu but when I select that option nothing happens. The highlight on the menu item disappears and reappears in a fraction of a second but it does not boot. If I select the SSD it starts booting Windows immediately. I have also tried disabling secure boot settings and this did not change how it acted. I've tried 3 USB drives that boot on other computers. Can anyone provide a solution to boot from USB?
It seems like a very new version/ISO of Linux is needed. All my 2017 and older bootable USBs with Linux on them don't boot on the S2, but I was able to boot the 18.12 Mint and 18.10 Ubuntu that I just downloaded. I suspect anything from before Summer 2018 will not boot on this machine.
