GT1 freezes when exiting Kodi

I left the player as it came out of the box, with all the addons installed in Kodi...Sometimes when I want to exit Kodi the player freezes...I can still go to home screen but if I try to enter Kodi again all I get is a black box...anyone else with this? Seems to me the box has some firmware issues.

It's probably Kodi itself and not the firmware.   Did you update Kodi to the latest version 16.1?  If there are some old, bad addons in Kodi it can slow down the closing process.  Sometimes you will have to wait a couple of minutes for Kodi to close.  Also, make sure you exit Kodi properly by clicking the exit button in Kodi as if Kodi does not close properly and you go Home you will not be able to get back into Kodi until you do a Force Stop on Kodi.... go to Settings, Apps, Kodi and click on Force Stop.  I also run a Ram Cleaner (Chetah Mobile) and App Cache cleaner which helps when you have a problem like this.

Hi,

I'm using the same addons that came with the player out of the box. The only thing I installed was a Youtube app...I agree it could be one of the addons, but I thought they'd test that if they install them?

I removed most of the addons and installed some that I often use. Now Kodi exits much faster compared to out of the box Kodi. Its definitely some of the add-on causing Kodi to freeze on exit
