Hello every body,

I recently bought from Gearbest a GT1 Ultimate Box with S/N B706DBJH6080. It is supposed to be a 3GB ram and 32GB memory model. Few days ago I installed the Android "Fill Ram" application and it gave me that the box was not 3GB model but a 2GB one. I red after, on forums, that many people have this problem with this model. Some people suggest that it is a "fake" memory model and others suggest to reinstall the firmware to try to solve.

So I decided to try to reinstall the firmware. As the compilation number given in Android parameters was 709D0_20180702_100650, I "googled" and found a ROM that is supposed to work because its name is GT1_709D0_20180702. Because on forums people were saying that using the Amlogic USB Burning Tool software was "tricky" and "risky", I decided to create a booting SD Card with the Amlogic Burn Card maker V2.0.3.

I had no problem to create the sd card, with the default setting given in it . But when I plugged it in the box, pressing the box reset button for a few seconds meanwhile I was powering the box, I only get an updating screen stuck at the very beginning of the progression bar. I repeated this process but unsuccessfully. And now when I power on the box, without SDCard installed, I have a black screen, whether I press or not the reset button: the box neither start normally, nor enter recovery mode pressing the reset button.

So I decided to try the USB Burning Tool solution. I installed the version 2.1.6. and I tried also with the 2.0.9 one, always running it as Administrator, on a Windows 7 machine and on a Windows 10 one, using USB2.0 ports and USB3.0 also. In all these configurations, the box is apparently well "recognized", since the software tells "Connect success" when I plug the USB Male-Male cable. I also let the default suggested settings in the software ( Erase flash, normal erase and Erase bootloader checked). When I press the Start soft button process begins and get stuck at 7%. I tried with the setting Erase Flash/Force erase all, and it get stuck at 8% and connection is lost and Windows tells that the USB device is not recognized. If I completely unplug the box and try other time, same things occur. I also tried to stop the process and start it again, without unplugging the box, after the errors come, but unsuccessfully.
In a last attempt I opened the box and I tried to see with a scope if on the 4 golden holes, that seem to be an UART port, were "alive"; at least the TX pin sould give some signals. But the scope remains permanently flat without signal, on the 2 middle pins (outer pins are VCC and GND see attached image).

I fear that my box is completely unrecoverable. I would appreciate some comments from people who had same or similar problem.

Many thanks in advance

some user reset the NAND by shorting 2 pins. you can try google it. but not guaranteed to fix the issue.
