Out of the box my GT1 decodes the x265 encoded mkv files (which play fine on all my other devices pc and tablets) as green snow.

I did the OTA update (no improvement) did a factory reset  - doesn't work. Tried with VLC android same.

Any suggestions?  Bad box?  Thanks! stephen

Mind to share the file so we can test as well?

Is this problem on kodi  playing x265 files.
Check the folowing to maybe fix in Kodi.
In kodi go to  SYSTEM ,Video, check setting level on bottom left hand corner says expert ,if says standad click on it.
then click Acceleration.
Make sure both allow hardware accelecration boxes are on.
try x265 video

Thanks for the tip at looking at kodi 16.1 / the hardware acceleration was turned ON! Mediacodec surface and other
and it all I got was the green snow...

I turned them off. and then the the x265 video played fine without issue.

the standard movie player also plays the x265 fine..   strange.

Same problem here.. :)
I can't play properly x256 files in KODI AND VLC...
I make the tip with hardware acceleration and set them OFF and the file plays with stops and goes..(same with vlc)
BEFORE I make the OTA I had no problem at all.
Please fix it!! :'(

How do you know? Beelink said in the firmware thread that the bugs will be fixed in the next update.
