Hello everyone,
I just got my GT1 Ultimate yesterday. [[ first impression, so far so good : decent build quality for the price, just tried out a few things like kodi and prime video, sure enough it works. By the way I suggest you guys STOP 1 time for all adding those cheap remotes and HDMI cables. Please, just stop it ! Everyone using an android box is using an RF remote, those cheap IR remote are just good to be thrown in the junk. As for the HDMI cable, well it joins my stock of 15 other new HDMI cables... I think the big majority of people would be very happy to be given the opportunity sparing 10€ and use their own cables/remotes rather than being forced to throw them in the junk anyways. ]]
That being said : everything was pretty much fine until I wanted to power-off the device...
My question is rather straightforward : is there any way to achieve that the immediate action of pressing the standby button immediately powers-off the device ?
How can it be so complicated to give a least the option that when remote's STANDBY button is pressed, the device does that action IMMEDIATELY without having to confirm anything ? At least, if for some dark reason, someone wants such additional "power menu" it should NOT be the default option ! This is killing the simplest common sense.
I think I am not the only one using a logitech harmony to control my stuff and this power menu just defeats it. 2 possible situations here :
1/ HDMI CEC enabled. Then, obviously, the GT1 powers off with my TV. BUT the next time I use my TV (for something else than using the GT1), it powers-on on the last HDMI port and of course this logically also powers-on the GT1 :Q
2/ HDMI CEC disabled. Then, on the poweroff signal, that goddamn power-menu is poping up and sticks on it leaving the GT1 on :'(
