IR issues

Hi
Since I recieved my GT1 I'm unable to use it with the IR remote included. It is not responsive.
I also tried to use an universal remote configured for GT1, it doesn't work either...
I suspect the IR reciever of the box not to work...
The only way to control the box is to use my TV remote via CEC functions but I don't have all the keys...
Plus, activating CEC functions make the box force the connexion to HDMI 1 (the plug where the box is plugged) all the time and I can't use any other input on my TV. If I want to use the tuner for esxemple I have to unplug the box. And there are no CEC setting to change that in the box configuration...
Does anyone have those issues?

I had an issue with the remote when I first unboxed my unit. It turns out the battery wasn't hitting the positive battery contacts on the remote; being a spiral non-protruding design. :L Eventually wiggled the battery to the point it was working.

I'm having the same issue with the original IR remote. Checked the battery contacts but no help :'(. Now using the box with wireless mouse.

How to test if your remote is working:
- Use your smartphone in camera mode and point to the front of the remote.
- While seeing the live image press and hold any button on the remote and you should see the front led blinking (white).

Then you know if it is the remote or something else.

While you fix the problem, you can use any usb keyboard and mouse to control you box, wireless is usually best, or you can use a bluetooth or usb remote.

My box HDMI-CEC is not working either, only to change to HDMI1, but no other button works on my LG TV.

Thanks for your advice. I tested it with camera and there is no blinking led in remote so my remote is dead.

Same problem here/
no response on Remote:
Tried: firmware update. ok
Tried: Factory reset.
Tried: exposing contacts

dunno what else to do.

i hv same issue with ir remote...when used other wifi with ir remote it was working fine. its a buggy box in total...need ota fix.

When I received my GT1, the remote was disabled under the settings screen. Changing this to "On" solved the problem for me.

I forgot to mention about the remote settings, first start the remote was "disabled" for me too. But in my case the remote is dead. Now waiting post to deliver me airmouse.
