Android 7.1 Apps Are Sideways

My new GT-1 with Android 7.1 has all the play store apps sideways on the screen and I can't find a setting to make them vertical. My 6.1 GT1 is fine with same apps.

speedtest, cache cleaner, etc. All the ones from play store

Sideloaded movie apps are fine.

Install "set orientation" from google store, worked for me.

Try to set display orientation to forced landscape..

in the file build.prop (can be found in system directory) change the line:

persist.sys.app.rotation=original
to
persist.sys.app.rotation=force_land

Use ES filemanager, root browser....

I had the same problem. There are a few apps on the playstore which will fix the orientation problem.
