Could be interesting to add play/pause interaction for advanced remotes (useful when watching video or listening music, in kodi or other multimedia app)
Play/Pause commands works for me fine since the beginning.... not sure what are you looking for... perhaps it is about the remote controller you use?
on my play/pause button exists and works well in Qodi/Kodi/SPMC other players...
