This wasn't just specific to Kodi, Gia. However yes the latest firmware addresses this issue. I haven't tried Netflix yet, don't know what to expect there.

Thanks for reply. To be honest, for me it was only noticeable in Kodi, particularly in low Res. I have another s912 box and it acts similar to the gt1 in this respect. I have a Xiaomi mi box 3 as well with a s905x and that's probably my favourite. Very tempted to go android 7 via usb this weekend.

Kodi would make it very easy to see. Photo viewing of dark photos would be also an easy way. However the Android Home screen wasn't even with proper colours. Might be little harder for some than others I suppose. I suppose with 4K screens you must think 1080 screens being low Res screens now? ;p
