Beelink BT3 overheating

Hi everyone !

I have a big problem on my beelink BT3 that starts correctly but turns off alone after a few minutes.
It seems that this one overheats (I see it in the logs of windows) whereas I did absolutely nothing more than to turn it on and use it without modifying any parameters.
Has anyone ever had this problem and would have a solution?

I have already tried to reinstall windows (x86 then x64) on but the problem is still the same.

month ago i wrote about this heating issue on this forum, beelink just ignore it, the problem is the plastic cover can´t lead the heat away, you can drill holes, or cut it open in top and glue a heatzink over, but anyway you do it, it´s not something end user should have to do....... the chipset is ok ,but hard to set the wifi driver the rihgt way, and support from beelink is very rare
i will go for cheaper brands rather than beelink because of missing support and ignoring issues

It is a well known problem that the Z83 is overheating and I guess the BT3 is built according to the same design (they share cpu, the bios are compatible,..).

Beelink ignores this problem.
I had to drill holes in the enclosure to allow airflow. This helped a little bit.
I'm now trying to install a fan as it has been described in the forums here.

Overall the device is crap. The support does hardly react.

It's a really big problem and for now i've any solution.

I wrote a private message to beelink but that remains unanswered which is very disappointing.
I would like to add a fan also but it looks bad because no plug is available for that in the BT3.

I recently ordered other thermal pad, I'll see if I get to something more convincing with that but I doubt it.

And if that was the only problem, I never managed to operate the wifi and bluetooth. Absolute disappointment on this product.

There is a fan connector on the board.
It is the tiny white plug.

You have to remoev it and solder the fan's cable directly on the pins as there is no such tiny connector available for all the fans I found.
I will perform this action this week and report back to you whether it worked or not.

Hello,

I crashed the pins on the fan connector when trying to connect it and had to unsolder it.
Unfortunately the remaining outlets on the mainboard are so tiny that I can't solder a wire to them without connecting them and causing a shortcut. Therefor my project fan ends here.

Hi, I bought a fan but I do not know how to make it work, finally I do not know where to connect it on the motherboard :(
