What does HDMI HDR setting actualyl do??I have a issue where GT1's blacks are to dark.Adjusting brightnes washes out image. In my other devices.Sony Blue Ray player,Xbox 360,... I fix this by setting video out put to YCbCr.With Raspberry PI I set it in config.text file and enter  "hdmi_pixel_encoding=3 YCbCr limited (16-235)".
0-225 is for compute monitors while TV's work best with 16-235.Maybe in future firmware versions you can add the option in Display section to change between full range(0-255) or Limited range (16-235)?
