I have the option under BIOS "Auto Power On" set to "Power On", but it doesn't work. I have this setting on the PCH-IO Configuration page in BIOS. Is there anything else I can do to make this feature work?

I have manually flashed the IB1_V0.04(auto) firmware, but it still will not automatically power on after power loss. This appears to have created another problem. It will not turn on at all unless I unplug power, plug it back in, and then hit the power button. So not only does it not automatically power on, I can't even manually power it on without unplugging and plugging it back in first.

Sorry for not replying in time due to the holiday

Have you brushed the wrong EC? What you need to download is CB1d_V1.05(auto), you can download it from the following link
http://support.bee-link.com/drives.html?id=44

The following is the tutorial for Auto power on

When I received the PC, the Auto Power On setting was already set correctly in BIOS, just like it appears in the tutorial link, but it was not working. If I cut the power, I must hit the power button to turn it back on. So I flashed the IB1_V0.04(auto) firmware for the SEI 1005G1 model, which is the model I have. Auto Power On still does not work. Also, if I do a normal shutdown in Windows, the only way to turn it back on is to unplug from power, plug in again, and hit the power button. It's even worse than having no auto-on, I have to do 3 things to turn it on!

Flashed the BIOS update and auto-on is working now. But the power button still doesn't work after after a shutdown. Only way to turn it on is to unplug it and plug it back in. Not really a good solution.

After BIOS update, power does come on when power is restored, but that's the only way to turn on the PC. After a shutdown in Windows, cannot turn back on with the power button, must remove power and plug in again to turn on. If the computer goes to sleep, it cannot resume from sleep, the power must be unplugged and plugged back in to get the PC on again.

I just bought a SEi Series (the 8259) model. I specifically need auto power on as the mini PC will be remote. I followed the instructions to update the BIOS and I have installed CB1D_FV105 I could not see in the BIOS an option for Auto Power on. Now after the device is power cycled it does not Auto Power on and similar to MIkeCerm the Power button does not work.

In my case as it is not Auto Powered on the device seems to be bricked. Any suggestions on how to rescue this?
