This has been a problem since 910P0 firmware on B922 models. Apps cannot get permission to access notifications, so they cannot interact with each other properly.

The app I am trying to use is Car Agama. This app needs notification access to display media information from streaming apps like Pandora or Spotify.

See photos for example:

Try to control media, and says 'not configured'.

Prompt to grant access to notification to allow app to control and display media

The app shows this permission is not granted.

Settings screen opens, but is says 'this feature is not available'

In main android settings, 'notification acecss' is missing from special apps permissions.

In Droid Settings, 'Notification Access' is available, but the apps are all off. PLEASE ADVISE -> How can I access these settings from different launcher? Only available through LightHome launcher. VERY FRUSTRATING!

I turn them on, but as soon as I exit the window, they turn off again automatically. I cannot save this setting to be on. Turns off every time.

Update:
After restarting a number of times, Android Auto has successfully installed, and most permissions are now visible in Android Settings.

I do not know why they were missing, and now they appear.

SOLUTION:

In order to grant these permissions, users need to edit the build.prop file located in the root directory.

Using X-Plore file explorer, navigate to /root/system
Screenshot_20210417-133313.png

In X-Plore settings, change root access to Superuser + mount writable
Screenshot_20210417-134353.png

long click on build.prop, and select 'Edit Text'
Screenshot_20210417-133351.png

Set ro.config.low_ram to false on the build.prop

Restart the GTKing

Verify that the Notificaiton Access Permission is GrantedNavigate to settings sidebar (only accessible through LightHome launcher because Beelink prefers to be difficult and remove settings icon) -> Apps -> Special App Access -> Notification Access
