Are you using u-boot-odroid-n2.bin as u-boot.ext as suggested in https://github.com/ophub/amlogic ... ian/amlogic-u-boot?

I try but bootloop..
For install DE just use armbian-config go to System and install Desktop..

Try using the chainloader u-boot.ext from @darkstar Ubuntu Image or from Manjaro (the one you used on your previous Armbian-Buster).  This chainloader work with Armbian, @darkstar or Khadas Vim3 Ubuntu/Debian and also on Manjaro-Arm.

I have tried a version of chainloader u-boot-n2.bin file size: (760,966 bytes) and it works consistently with Manjaro-Arm on my GT King Pro.  Chainloader u-boot-gsking-x.bin and u-boot-vim3.bin did work so well high percentage of NOT booting up (system freeze during booting process).
Edit: The "Card did not respond to voltage select!: -110"  This also happen when u-boot-n2.bin is use with Manjaro on GT King Pro and With the "chainloader u-boot.ext you used previously on Armbian" this "Card did not..." does not arise.

I am puzzled my problem was closed on Github, he suggested that I use the 5.6 kernel instead.
Version 5.10.85 does not start all the time, it is apparently related to the fact that I still have Android on my Emmc ..? Is it possible to update u-boot on emmc without losing android system?
The @darkstar versions are made to be flashed on USB support and in my case I want to have the system on an SD card, no USB inputs available, I reserve them for my data hard drives available on my (future) server.
Anyway, I'm going to try some u-boot.ext but I don't really like the turn of events.

The chainloader u-boot.ext will work with SD Card and USB Flash, I use it on both. His image does not boot on SD Card for whatever reason (tested it myself) but chainloader should work with SD Card.
For example Khadas-Vim3-Focal-mainline-5.12.0 image, the chainloader will boot up 50% of the time but if you switch to another kernel like linux-image-current-meson64 it will boot up most if not all the time.

It's linux-image-current-meson still present on this release..
So I try u-boot.ext from manjaro but the boot process bug
so I try with dtb from manjaro => no way..

So you are able to boot up the new Armbian for Amlogic STB with kernel 5.10.85-flippy-68+. Any particular reason to switch to linux-image-current-meson64? Just for testing purpose?

So I try u-boot.ext from manjaro but the boot process bug

By the way, just to be sure we are talking about the same chainloader u-boot.ext, what is the actual file size of u-boot.ext?  The u-boot.ext I am using file sizze: 735.5 kB (735,459 bytes).

You can download the chainloader u-boot.ext from here https://yadi.sk/d/ZMQW85B-P6QejA  (https://forum.manjaro.org/t/manj ... ic-tv-box/34662/446)

Yes, but there is a regular freeze during startup, I force the reboot by unplugging / re-plugging the electric adapter and from time to time it starts up ..
I try switch to linux-image-edge just for testing.. but I do not use armbian-config for this, maybe with armbian-update (tools provided with this release for updating kernel..)
So my problem is just this freeze during boot (you can see on my github issue..)

I just checked by downloading from the link you provided me and yes it is indeed the same u-boot.ext, well they are exactly the same size ..

This is puzzling.  The only other kernel that I have tried that work with Armbian is by meveric https://oph.mdrjr.net/meveric/pool/main/l/linux-upstream/.  The meveric's 5.13.y-arm64 and 5.15.7 -arm64 works but you need to adjust initrd, uInitrd, zImange or Image depending what is being generated by dpkg -i or apt install.

I noticed on https://github.com/ophub/amlogic ... ian/amlogic-u-boot? it also mention MAINLINE_UBOOT /lib/u-boot/gtkingpro-u-boot.bin.sd.bin wonder this worth a try?

Fyi, @darkstark Ubuntu Impish and his earlier mainline 5.12 image uses Mainline UBoot  linux-u-boot-vim3-mainline.
