By the way, noticed your htop seems to have more info than the standard Armbian htop.  Is this the standard Armbian Buster htop or modified?
Hi @jfl
I'm not sure, I started with the armbian arm64 version of Balbes150 ...
Then when I started htop I did F2 to be able to display a little more info ..
I think this is the classic armbian htop, why this question ??

Some of the info on the htop looks interesting and it look different (layout and also information) from the Armbian Bullseye and Armbian Focal I have.  Looks good.

Hi @jfl
Noticed you have kernel 5.9.8 arm-64 earlier.  The original kernel was kernel 5.9.0 arm-64, how did you manage to upgrade to kernel 5.9.8 arm-64?

Well seen my friend, indeed I started from an ARM64 Buster server image and then I installed the deb 20.11 provided by Balbes on => https://users.armbian.com/balbes150/arm-64/deb/

I finally removed sddm to replace it with lxdm, indeed sddm was too greedy at the level of the processor ..
With lxdm no problem I was able to start Xfce, I also tested Enlightenment which can be very nice on a TV ..
I am also looking to set up a desktop environment using Wayland but the info is not very clear, and I do not really want to install Gnome .. I have also seen Deepin but I do not know how to install it ..
In short I am looking for an desktop environment suitable for a TV and especially light, if you have ideas I am interested ..
Can you explain to me for Wayland, do I need to install a few more things ..?
It seems to me that Xfce cannot use wayland at the moment.
What are the desktop environments using wayland other than gnome and ubuntu?
I will continue a few tests..
I remind you that I still have my Y.U.No.Host server which runs wonderfully on this GT-King Pro ..

Well seen my friend, indeed I started from an ARM64 Buster server image and then I installed the deb 20.11 provided by Balbes on => https://users.armbian.com/balbes150/arm-64/deb/

Thanks for the clarification on kernel 5.9.8.  Somehow never look at the https://users.armbian.com/balbes150/arm-64/deb/.  Does the balbes150 kernel 5.9.8 run stable like kernel 5.9.0? What kernel are you running on your Y.U.No.Host server?

Can you explain to me for Wayland, do I need to install a few more things ..?

If you install GNOME desktop or Ubuntu-Desktop you should have the option for Wayland - https://forum.armbian.com/topic/ ... amesa-mali-drivers/So far I had tried Armbina-Focal using Ubuntu-Desktop or Armbian-Focal-Desktop-Gnome (Ubuntu-Wayland session), Khadas-Vim3 5.12.0 Ubuntu-Wayland and Manjaro-Arm-GNOME Edition (21.06 newly released).  So far my experience is with GNOME-Wayland or Ubuntu-Wayland Panfrost seems to perform better (no or less mouse pointer flicker and also glmark2-wayland score wise is also higher than X11/Xorg).  XFCE with Panfrost is good but I think Wayland Panfrost is better but in Wayland some apps won't launch or run properly for now.  After a while you I kind of enjoy Ubuntu-Wayland and GNOME-Wayland (Manjaro GNOME 40.2).  Since I have both Ubuntu-Desktop and XFCE install on Armbian-Focal apps not launching or working properly for example Synaptic Package Manager, I just switch to XFCE to use Synaptic.

For Panfrost to work on our device we need mesa 20.3.4-1 and above.  For Ubuntu Focal latest mesa-git is available from Oibaf graphics drivers ppa, for Debian Bullseye from https://forum.odroid.com/viewtop ... =5908&start=750 and for Debian Buster the above armbian forum has a link but I have not tried this Buster Mesa Link.

As far as I know, XFCE currently do not support Wayland.

Yes the kernel 5.9.8 run stable without any issues like kernel 5.9.0..
I have been running YUNoHost for a while on the 5.9.8 kernel and have since switched to the meson64-5.10.43 kernel so far I have had no problems ...

Can you explain how install mesa ?

Thank again...

Can you explain how install mesa ?

For Debian Buster which I have not tried follow this https://forum.armbian.com/topic/11424-playing-with-limamesa-mali-drivers/page/2/ and https://github.com/zhangn1985/mali_mesa_deb_rules.  The forum have detailed guides on setting for Lima.  Just change Lima to Panfrost.

If you install Armbian Bullseye after update the mesa 20.3.4-1 from Bullseye repo does support Panfrost for our devices.  https://forum.odroid.com/viewtop ... b842d470f&start=750 for newer MESA 21.1.0 from this repo.

For Armbian Focal https://forum.armbian.com/topic/ ... -panfrost-outdated/
  1. sudo apt-get install software-properties-common -y

  2. sudo add-apt-repository ppa:oibaf/graphics-drivers

  3. sudo apt-get update

Copy the Code
sudo apt-get upgrade
Currently replying you with Manjaro-Arm GNOME (40.2.0) Wayland Session.  Runs well.

A pre-built image like Khadas-Vim3-Focal has Ubuntu-Wayland and Panfrost working out of the box. That is following @darkstar /boot/ files replacement

Beelink Support,

Our device Beelink GT King Pro still faces issue with many of the Linux Mainline Kernel images -- we cannot use as it causes kernel panic, Beelink u-boot BSP compatibility issue.  Hope Beelink Developers resolve this.
