Hi @darkstar and @gtkingpro.ac2n,

Just an update. finally got the Armbian_22.02.0_Aml_s922x-reva_focal_5.15.14.img.gz to work on USB Flash. When I burn the image on USB Flash the USB Flash is being recognized by Linux so I can make changes to the dtb and u-boot.ext.  The u-boot.ext that boot up consistently is the regular chainloader u-boot.ext from LibreElec, Manjaro-Arm or @darkstar Ubuntu Impish image.

The mainline meson-g12b-gtking-pro.dtb works best - Sound, Ethernet, Wifi and Bluetooth works.  With meson-g12b-gtking-pro-rev-a.dtb or g12b-gtking-pro-rev-a-oc.dtb there is NO Wifi.

Earlier with the  Armbian_22.02.0_Aml_s922x_bullseye_5.15.13.img.gz I burned it on SD Card and the default u-boot.ext was u-boot.gtkingpro.bin which somehow did not work on my GT King Pro Rev Aand that SD Card was not recognised by the linux OS which hamper any attempt to get it to work.

Hi @darkstar,
lsblk
sda - USB Flash
mmcblk1 - according to Gparted is Samsung SD Card
mmcblk0 - must be the internal Emmc.

you are right my mistake,

some distributions recognize sd card as mmcblk

Hi @gtkpro.ac2n,

I read  that you were trying to have Armbian Bullseye with kernel 5.15.y to work on SD Card.  You already know with balbes150 image it works on SD Card but when you install linux-image-edge-meson64 (5.15.y) it writes to rootfs /boot Ext4 instead of /boot FAT.

The work around I use was to install meveric's kernel 5.15.10-arm64 from https://oph.mdrjr.net/meveric/pool/main/l/linux-upstream/. So far it works well on balbes150 Armbian-Bullseye on SD Card without any issue.  So far this combination is Stable and have WIFI, Ethernet, Sound all works. Reboot works on SD Card.
