@spikerguy,

Hopefully will give more time to these devices and prepare new image with and without mainline uboot.

Looking forward to your continued support.
For your info, there is a new patch for " cursor plane patch" for Amlogic Device. https://forum.odroid.com/viewtopic.php?f=52&p=336248&sid=98a839b6db2e151be9c3443354242ab5#p336248

With the latest update of Manjaro-Arm-Stable 2021-11-06/09 with mainline-linux-5.15.1-3 kernel, wifi initialization is immediate upon boot up not longer delayed (used to be up to 60 seconds delay upon boot up before wifi is initiallized)..

Hi @spikerguy and @beelink,

If I am not mistaken, both GT King/Pro and Ugoos AM6/Plus uses Android Pie (9) and both uses legacy u-boot on EMMC but somehow the Ugoos AM6/Plus legoacy u-boot loader is more friendly and able to boot Linux mainline kernel > 5.10 without having to use a second stage chainloader u-boot.

Is ther a way to compare Ugoos AM6/Plus and Beelink GT King/Pro legacy u-boot loader and make the neccessary adjustment?

Hi @spikerguy,

Somehow the new Manjaro Arm image using bootscript to boot does NOT boot on my GT King Pro with SN SA9HH.... and I am on Beelink Firmware 918P0. Using the older Manjaro-Arm-Gnome-21.10 image with chainloader u-boot.ext, NO issue on booting up on my GT King Pro but reasonly I am facing random kernel panic.  Your new bootscript images were to resolve this issue but somehow it cannot boot on my device.

Need more Beeling GT King Pro Revision A users to test these new bootscript Manjaro-Arm-images.  @gtkingpro.ac2n are insterested to give it a go?

Manjaro-Gnome runs smoothly and also surprisingly uses very low RAM resources around 450MB on Start Up.  Great package.

I downloaded gnome image flashed to usb ssd but it did not boot.
I tried different usb ports but no luck did not boot successfully.

I changed boot scripts, added u-boot.ext and tried multiple times but no luck again it did not boot.
I'm sorry to say that but it seems this build need some extra work.

Hi @spikerguy, @darkstar @gtkingpro.ac2n @beelink

Just and update.  Updated Manjaro-Arm-Gonee Edition 21.10 (with mainline linux-5.14.12-1 kernel) to the latest Manjaro Arm-Stable-Update-2022-01-23 which is a rather large update:
Total Download Size:    871.08 MiB
Total Installed Size:  3888.26 MiB
Net Upgrade Size:        20.07 MiB

It runs smoothly and Start Up RAM Usage: ~450MB.

Which firmware are you using ?

I will try to flash that firmware on my device and see if that makes any difference.

Do you have any boot logs from uart ?

Update: This link is not working for me

Hey @darkstar
I tried firmware 918P0 and flashed Gnome image on sdcard and it booted fine,
I will now try on USB drive too.

Later I will flash 925P0 and test the same
I found the issue. It could not boot from usb due to usb driver built as module. The next release will have this fixed.

Please try using sdcard for the current build.

Thank you.
