Amazon Prime, no Dolby with android..

Hi,
A new problem with my gt-king pro ...

I am an Amazon Prime Video subscriber, when I use Coreelec I can choose the sound quality, either stereo or dolby 5.1.
But when I use the Prime Video application on android I only have stereo sound, no access to dolby 5.1 yet well activated in the Android sound settings ..?

Having a GT-King pro quality TV box and not being able to take full advantage of dedicated TV applications does not seem very wise to me.

An update is NEEDED ...

It's a custom rom based on android TV, with this rom amazon prime video offers the sound in dolby 5.1 unfortunately when I try to play a video there is an error and therefore impossible to see anything. Anyway the problem remains, it is essential for a dedicated TV box and therefore video playback, to be able to enjoy dolby sound like in the cinema! Without having to go through a custom rom ...

I have the same problem. No 5.1 audio is being sent from the GT-King Pro to my receiver on the HDMI cable. It used to work a couple of months ago. Then I tested the output using a YouTube audio test video. I don't remember if I used the App of the web browser YouTube. I am still investigating the problem of the box only outputting stereo. I suspect the audio chips on the board died, since I did a ROM update. The audio worked fine before, but still not working after flash back to old ROM.

GUYS i advice you all to switch to Nvidia shield

much better interface and it support all hd audio (dts-hd, dolby true hd, atmos)!!!! Prime, netflix, disney+ all has dolby digital passhtrough.

Currently GTkingpro has been updated to 915P0, have you updated yet? Does this problem still occur after the update?

OK I have updated to 915PO, flashed by USB process..
And the problem are still present, no dolby audio with Amazon Prime..

Now I am looking more to run Linux on this GT-King rather than Android which is still not really suitable for my use, thank you for considering the development of a linux desktop environment suitable for the gt-king pro ..
There is has on the forum @Darkstar who made a debian and @spikerguy who made a Manjaro but this is not really official, Beelink would have gained everything by producing a multi-boot firmware (Android on emmc, Coreelec on Sd-Card , and Linux OS on USB ...) more possibilities for the user and above all an advantage over the competition ..
Today this GT-King Pro is one of the best sbc available on the market but as it is not adapted to linux, a good number of potential users preferred to buy another box which is Armbian compatible.
