I have made a how to for programming the GT1 / GT Ultimate remote control, as below if it helps anyone.
“Learn” Function Operation Guide
1.    Place the TV remote control and the Android Remote control end to end about 3-5 mm apart .

2.    Press and hold the “Learn” button on the Android remote control for about 5 seconds, until the red indicator light stays on .

3.    Click the button you want to “Learn” (for example VOL+) on the Android remote control, the red indicator will flash and the Android remote is now ready to  learn.
4.    Within 5 seconds, press the button on the TV remote that you want the Android remote control to learn, the red light on the Android remote control will flash 3 times then stay lit, you can then program the next button on the Android remote control by following steps 3-4.
5.    If “Learning” fails on the Android remote control, the red light will flash 5 times, in this case please repeat steps 3-4.
6.    To exit “Learn”mode, just press any other button on the Android remote control, note that it must be one of the buttons that is NOT in the TV section of the remote.

Not a problem, it's polite to put the name after Dear though, so in my case it would be Dear Vanbursta. :)
