I have recently purchased a U57 mini-PC and I have also bought aadditional SATA 1TB SSD to fit into the unit as a data disk.
Upon fitting and rebooting, the U57 freezes at the Beelinkwelcome banner and will not start MS Windows. I then removed the SSD and the U57 boots normally.
Looking further into the issue, I looked at the BIOSsettings and found that the BIOS is not recognising the SATA SSD.
Your BIOS version in the U57 is American Megatrends Inc, version 2.18.1263 bios date 03/27/2020 16:20:29 ver: VB1004 - Evaluation Copy.
I purchased this U57 based on the advertised specifications as it is promoted on thebasis of supporting up to 2TB SATA 2.5” HDD. The  PC is not recognising the 1TB SATA SSD HDD.

Can you advise what to do ? does the bios need to be upgraded ?

Same issue: Installed new Crucial 256GB SSD and system will not boot.  Remove SSD and placed into external USB3 enclosure and U57 now boots into Windows and SSD is visible & operational.

Any ideas why the SSD prevents boot up??
Thanks,
T.

Maybe would the SSD be a PCIe one? I faced the same issue and I solved using a SATA M.2 2280 no PCIe. Hope it helps.

The issue is using a 2.5" SATA SSD with SATA interface connector, which is unpopulated as shipped. I installed  a Samsung EVO840 SSD SATA with same results as described in previous posts. I then installed a 2.5" SATA mechanical hard drive which worked fine proving interface/cabling is OK.  Beelink's admits current problem. Is problem with all 2.5" SSD, certain manufacturers/models or other reason? They don't elaborate.
