Hi!

I tried  to use the latest image (01112020), and the WiFi is not working at all and one of the USB ports (besides the TF slot) is not working either.I have a GT1 Ultimate device with 4GB memory and 32GB eMMC. The serial number is begining with AX12.
Do you have any idea what can be the problem?

THX.

Is wired network (ethernet) working? I'm very interested into installing this because newest Kodi in Android has absolutely broken NFS, I hope I won't have problem in Linux with that. :)

Yes Wired Network (Ethernet) and Wifi both works fine, You can also upgrade the system to latest applications so you will have smooth kodi playback upto 1080p.

Try it and let me know if you need any help.
Good Luck.

So it's not 4K capable... I guess then hardware is not used fully, right?

4k is only supported in CoreElec as they're using Amlogic Video Drivers where as Manjaro is using Open Source drivers which is still under development.

It can only support 1080 at the moment.

Hello.
I'm an old archlinux user and I'm extremely happy to see manjaro on this device. I haven't used it since I got an android smarttv. But now, this is a complete (ARM) PC!

I have some questions.
I've flashed an sdcard with Manjaro ARM 20.08 vim2 build. It boots but there are issues with the cpu frequency governor, missing wifi and no hdmi audio. I've done this because VIM2 is really similar to this device and I was expecting to just work but it looks like it needs more work. Is there any module that can be installed with pacman or it really needs to be compiled from scratch?

I've also installed the "preview1" image that you have here. The performance is much better, but now there are severe graphic glitches (with vim2 ROM, there wasn't any!).
Also, the sdcard performance is not great so I'm trying to flash this to the internal MMC using manjaro-arm-flasher but I end up with a bricked device (can be recovered doing a full format with amlogic usb burning tool). CoreELEC works from the internal flash, so it's possible to do it.

So there are still some problems problems that I would like to help you. Is there any sourcecode for your preview1 image?Note: this was flashed on a standard Beelink GT-1 with 2gb ram (SN A912). There is no need for a "ultimate" version.

Hello TigTex

The image is for SD Card or can be flashed onto the emmc using the install script and not by flashing the existing image to emmc directly as we use the existing uboot from the android image on emmc. Manjaro_Arm-Flasher is only for those devices which have a mainline uboot and Amlogic devices don't have mainline uboot instead we use bootscript to run Linux on top of Android Uboot

Regarding WIFI and HDMI audio you will not be able to use from VIM2 image as it does not include Wifi driver and HDMI audio config used in GT Ultimate.

GT Ultimate is the only one I have to test so I can only confirm that WIFI works on GT Ultimate for GT-1 I am not sure which wifi Chip is used.

I will create a new GT-Ultimate image this weekend and test its performance with respect to graphics as with latest mesa package most of the glitches should have been solved.

With S912 XFCE will be the best DE.
With this box you can have a complete ARM PC where we also have Netflix supported Chromium browser.

Thank you for reporting back, I will look into this as I wasn't paying much attention to it as I rarely got any response from Beelink Users.
