Hello

I am not sure what would be wrong with your installation but it seems to work fine for me and @asturiano as reported by him.

Hello @Asturiano
Thank you for trying it,
I would like you to install a temperature sensor package called cpu-temp-speed
In terminal just enter this to install the package
  1. sudo pacman -S cpu-temp-speed
Copy the Code
Then run this to see the cpu speed and temperature. I have noticed that GT1 ultimate runs quite hot on normal load which makes its throttle and stop it from utilizing all the power it have to offer.

  1. cpu-temp-speed
Copy the Code
GT1 Ultimate runs very smoothly if I do some changes to the cpu heatsink Like I used a heatsink with a small fan and it worked so well.

Its hot...
This is runing a 1080p video on youtube... wired net... but Wifi perfoms well enough.
Idle temp is 50º...
And dont ask for big performance... :) ... maybe 2/16Gb will not be enough... :(

Yes it can go upto 92Degree as I have done it in my test but if the cpu have a better heatsink then it does perform way better with the new kernel fix and panfrost support.

Watching a movie on it can lead it to reach 90 above.

Good to see your using Manjaro on your device, Enjoy your device.

Hi!

I've resolved my problem: the DTB file was wrong unless the box IS an GT1 Ultimate. The unit is working GREAT with the pure beelink-gt1 dtb image. Thanks for the image @spikerguy.

Yes thought so that your device is a bit different or the older edition is gt1.

Good to see that you have a working os.

Do share you feedback on how it runs and what you use it for.
Will be happy to optimize it further as I dont get much time to test it in detail.  Only issue I see it the thermal throttling as the heatsink is not so good while the cpu is very powerful so after adding a heatsink with fan I was able to fully utilize the power of S912 soc.

Hi, I had trouble signing up for the forums but I'm finally in. I have a GT1 standard and I'm happy to see that this build of Manjaro may work on it. :) Apologies if it's mentioned somewhere but are there any instructions for how to install the OS directly on the eMMC memory instead of sd card? (Will test on sd card first, of course, but also is there a way to do the test w/ a USB stick?) Thanks in advance!

Spiker, what heatsink/fan would you recommend to keep the Beelink box cool?

Hey sorry was on vacation.  I am not sure i think you can go with a usb fan with which you can keep under the device and make small holes on the bottom.
