Netflix question about ATV system

So I decided to give this firmware a try, and it was really awful,
It's a normal android and using the normal remote control is not enough, if I open netflix i can't navigate and there's no way to close the app or go home.
It seems to me that I need to buy a gyro remote to be able to use the rom, which makes no sense to me, why should I buy something to overcome a limitation of this rom.
I re-flashed the tv rom and I'm just using it for youtube and plex, and I'm using a chromecast that I own for netflix ( it's funny that the tv box also has a non working chromecast )

I really hoped for a proper fix for this box ( or a refund ) but I guess I learned to never buy a bee-link product and just go fo the mi box even if the hardware specs are a little less than the bee-link box.

I have a "GT1 mini - A" and a remote, but it doesn't seem that the remote has the gyro functionality.

Just chiming in to reinforce the fact that this company is utter trash and I'm sorry for the folks who bought this as a Christmas gift this year without doing some further research on this forum.
