Hi,

trying to install Linux Mint (based on Ubuntu) but happy with any other distro, with or without dual-boot with Windows. I go into BIOS, set-up legacy boot instead of UEFI. Computer boots properly off USB ISO into Linux, but the hard drive isn't recognized and hence I can't install the distro. What to do please?

thanks,

Hi there.
Probably count as very newbie - just got my BT3-X specifically to run Debian.
I have installed a separate 120G SSD for Debian, but can't even get into the BIOS.
Don't want to risk trashing the whole system to find it can't cope, so I suppose the basic question is HOW DO YOU GET INTO THE BIOS?
Any key - even Del - pressed during boot up results in a Black Screen and a locked system!

Thx
