My X55 is attached to an LG 4k TV(LG 60UH 6035). I get a normal full screen Windows display using 4k (2160p) resolution. However when viewing videos (Youtube from the web or VLC from local files) black bars are displayed on both sides the picture. If I select 1080p resolution, the Windows display has the same black bars. I expect this is a driver problem. Device manager indicates Intel UHD Graphics 605. Driver 26.20.100.7262 dated 9/25/2019. I tired updating the driver, Windows indicates this is the latest.
Anyone?
Thanks to Poor_Username, I found the Intel graphics app at
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/intel-graphics-command-center/9plfnlnt3g5g?activetab=pivot%3Aoverviewtab.
This gave me the option of stretching the width to full screen. Strangely, when I went back to the standard 16:9 display via Intel app the screen stayed full. |
