Just an update.. Reported the issue with the non-functional USBv2 port with CoreELEC. https://discourse.coreelec.org/t ... -no-usbv2-port/8964

Already been, countless times reported for this here unit, on CoreELEC forums. Hope something more happens with my report. :lol

It seems you can not  turn on by the remote control ,but only plug and unplug the power supply 。
Maybe a new firmware version will fix it。

I've read elsewhere, that in the newest FW (005P0) the Power on is fixed (for CE), but doesn't fix that the USB 2.0 port is stuck disabled and useless under CE. Beelink needs to fix this. I'm stuck with FW version 002P0 as all the newer FW's have this USB 2.0 port issue with CE.

Hi, the problem is due a poorly configured bootloader (would be nice if Beelink fixed this in updated firmware). I think they will in the future, since they collaborate with Corelec (especially for the Beelinkg GT King). In the meantime, you can fix it by using a tool called Bl-inject developed by the Core Elec team. If I posted the link to it, then this post would be censored (by Beelink) and not be posted. But you'll find the tool it at the core elec page along with instructions.

Another way is to attach the power cord of the tv box to a wifi power outlet, which you can turn on/off using an app. Most often you can also link it to google home (and your smarthome). I use this, and it works great : "OK google - turn on Corelec" ;-)

Thanks

After your posts, decided to test CoreELEC 9.2.1 on the GT1 Mini.

Using this bootloader patch on Beelink GT1 Mini w/Latest firmware build: 004P0;

Under CoreELEC
---------------------
Powering Off: Yes, TV-Yes (with rc_keymaps configured)
Powering On: Yes, TV-Yes

Now Under eMMC ( Android Pie )
------------------------------------
Powering Off: Yes
Powering On: No ( so this is broke after the patching. )

Updated: This patch shouldn't even be required, the Beelink original GT1 Mini bootloader is poorly configured, according to what CoreELEC team have said. This along with USB v3 port (however it's black colour coded port though) not functioning under CoreELEC (even with the latest v9.2.3) I wouldn't recommend trying CoreELEC if you want both functional USB ports, or the use of USB v3 port.

The lack of the USB 2.0 port is unviable and needs to be fixed, either by CE team or by Beelink.

Wonder when we can expect a new firmware, if ever?

Any news on this issue with the disabled USB port under CoreElec? There's a new stable CE and also a newer official Android FW came out for the Gt1-mini since recently. Anyone had a try with checking on them?

Really would be nice to see this problem solved at last, as it has been going for a really long period of time and getting to be quite annoying now...

Hi Mounter.

The GT1 Mini of the first product line, several different ones and mine being with SN: 95X2. The both USB ports works perfectly under Android, so this is an issue strictly with CoreELEC. Made another post under my existing topic over there on the CoreELEC forums, to give some more insight.

However, to say the least, no new Beelink firmware release will correct this USB anomaly running under CoreELEC.
