Hi, just bought this Gemini N41 mini pc from beelink. I'm using it as a remote access box with 4 USB drives connected to home LAN network to access files and as media server movies and backups. Everything fine up to the point when I transfer files multiple files from one USB drive to another. I can see few windows queuing in the file transfer by windows which is normal. However, the box suddenly goes off during transfer and I have to start again from switching on the box as it powers itself off. This has happend like 4 times now and I think it is because it heats it or something. Now I am doing one or two transfers only per time or risking it by doing two simultaneous transfers.

Does anyone have this same issue. would you agree this is because its heating up during transfer. what can be the solution form this happening. thanks. If this keeps happening and I don't find solution, I may have to return the box for refund where I bought it. I really love this little box and its good priced but this issue is very scary for me.

Hi,

Thank you for your letter and feedback.
If you don't use the 4 USB drives, will the computer automatically shut down?
Maybe you can try it.
When the computer is running, you can get close to the machine. Can you hear the sound of the fan running?

Best regards

Hi,

Thank you for your letter and feedback.

Please check the following two points
1. The machine is overheated and the fan is working normally.
2. If the USB drive is reduced, this will be avoided. If it can be avoided, it may be caused by insufficient power of the power adapter.

Hi,

We need to know what the reason for the machine's automatic shutdown.
It may be caused by the fan not working properly.
So let you get close to the machine to hear if the fan is working properly.

Best regards

Hi,

Your machine's power supply is 12V-1.5A.
If you use 4 USB at the same time, it may cause insufficient power to cause a malfunction.

Best regards

I think I can hear some kind of little buzz so if there is fan I think its running but not 100% sure. I did cpu stress test and also file transfer with built it hard drive. The temperature monitor showed it going as high as 80c. so no power failure occurred with that. I now think that your number 2 point is correct because the 4 USB drives can draw alot of power and this is why its going off. I will now find a self powered USB extention and plug drive in that. My issue is resolved. thanks. really good machine.
