Hello there,
I've previously posted here about this subject: I'm unable to 'Restart' my SII-> the PC shuts down with a weird sound and never reboots. I could have lived with that...but whenever a Windows Update occurs and needs to 'restart', things are going the bad way.
A couple of weeks (or months) ago, the support sent me a Mega.co.nz link to 'SII_64bit home1803_20180905.zip', which was supposed to be a cool update for my problem...
After formatting my 16GB USB drive, copying all the files on it, booting on this device, waiting for WinPE and WinRE to set them up and be ready to... restart... Wait, did I say 'Restart'? Duh! The PC is NOT restarting at all, therefore I'm totally unable to enter in Recovery Mode from the USB disk, and I'm unable to apply anything that would cure the problem!! catch-22 :(

So, seriously, is there any way to apply any fix or patch to a system failing to restart... without restarting it?

If there's no solution, I would be very happy to send my unit back to you and got another model in exchange (N41 or N50).

Thanks for reading...

hi

Try opening the bottom of the machine, unplugging the CMOS battery, shorting the CMOS battery connector on the motherboard with a metal object for about 30 seconds, then installing the battery and rebooting, then the BIOS will return to its original state. No settings, try rebooting again.

Best blessing

Ok, I'm in contact with the Support so I'll wait for their advices and then proceed as above. But I didn't touch anything in BIOS, so is it faulty from the very beginning ?
